Grand Epic (Browser Game)

So I basically got bored and went onto Newgrounds, a site full of flashes to wash away some boredom. Played a few flashes and then saw a browser game called Grand Epic in the background and clicked it figuring what the heck. Every now and then I'll click them. Turns out it's a neat little graphic browser game in a Technical Beta at the moment. Just trying to figure out the bugs and such. So I went over and started playing and posted multiple suggestions and bugs to try and help out. It's a nice mmorpg for a browser that's for sure. But definitely can use improvement on some of weird aspects of the game such as moving corpses, improving spelling and the way NPC's word sentences, but the game mechanics aren't too bad. I've been able to play for an hour sitting and enjoy it so far. It's quests have loads and loads of messages when you get them from the NPC. The NPC keeps talking, you probably waste like three minutes or more reading the 5 - 15 paragraphs each quest has. The story/plot I'm sure was very well thought out and written, but I'm not exactly looking to read all that I'll have to admit. Make sure to go check it out here! Before you judge me, it's not a referral link. =P

Free Portal 2 DLC New Test Chambers and Challenges This Summer!

Valve announced today that this Summer Portal 2 will be releasing more test chambers for us to mess with, leaderboards for those of you that are competitive, and a challenge mode of some sort for single player and multiplayer. The best part of about it all, is it'll be free for everyone. PC, Mac, Xbox 360, and PS3. Hows that sound?

Assassin's Creed Revelations! Leaked?

Looks like Ubisoft may have of accidentally leaked their new upcoming Assassin's Creed of the series. Assassin's Creed Revelations. Sometimes if you look behind the curtain you may find something they accidentally weren't able to hide.

"A message appearing briefly on the Assassin's Creed Facebook page lead NeoGAF users to a Flash file urging fans to "Spread the Word" to reveal an exclusive look at the next Assassin's Creed game, and lurking within the Flash file was this logo. What is Assassin's Creed: Revelations?" - Kotaku

Gears of War 3 Make Love, Not War

Tag the Chicken!

I'm sure some of you have played your own games within a game. Sometimes just killing repeatedly in a game can get boring, like for example the Gears of War 3 has made some people get a little more creative. Why go kill someone, when you can get into some animal cruelty? Why kill people casually, when you can do it in hide and seek? Games like these will probably only be played amongst you and your friends in private matches, but still it passes the time and definitely can be fun. It's good to mix things up every now and then wouldn't you say?

Go check out some more of the games fellow gamers are playing in Gears of War 3 here!

Red Box DVD Rentals in June Contain Games!

I'm sure many of you know about the Red Box which you can find at most 7/11's featuring DVD Rentals for $1 per day you have it. Well, June 17th they're introducing $2 per day video game rentals! You'll be able to find the latest Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Nintendo Wii games at them. They've been testing adding games since 2009, before the Red Box was even popular. This is definitely something I may have to look into. I could grab a game and probably beat it in two days or over a weekend, then return it for only $4. Could do a few posts and tips on it. With Blockbuster disappearing, this'll definitely be an idea for myself even.

One Out of Two Portal 2 Owners Haven't Beaten it.

"Little more than half the players who bought the game on Steam have finished it and more than one in ten of them haven't even gotten to that very first puzzle in the solo campaign, according to the service's achievement-tracking stats. Only 55.7% of players had earned the final achievement of the solo game. Only 89.0% had even earned the first achievement, which can be acquired with virtually no effort after the game starts." - Kotaku

It's more understanding that 55.7% players haven't earned the final achievement of the solo campaign, but that 11% haven't earned the first achievement of the game? That basically means that you bought the game and well, that's it. Maybe it's from Steam pre-orders, who knows. The solo campaign itself is between 6-10 hours to beat. Which for a gamer could be a matter of one sitting or just a few. To read up a bit more on Kotaku's article on the statistics and their play through, go here!

L.A. Noire Social Club Features!

For members of Rockstar's free Social Club, you will be able to get exclusive features such as an outfit giving a bonus to shotgun and machine gun accuracy called the Chicago Lightning Suit. Also an "Ask the Comunity" feature allowing you to get votes from other players on what choice to make in certain situations. To read up more on the exact details of the Social Club features to come go here!

Cataclysm - Patch 4.2 Already Underway!

As the title and video states, patch 4.2 is already under way. It'll bring a new raid for likely actually killing Ragnaros this time around, new dungeons, 60 new daily quests that work as a quest line, miscellaneous other quests, a new zone called the Molten Front, a new mount, and tons of other interesting stuff to come. Patch 4.2 will be in the testing server soon enough, but there isn't a release date yet for it.

"Blizzard is also using 4.2 to introduce a new questing area for players who want an alternative to raiding. The new location, accessed through Hyjal, tasks players with helping the Cenarion Circle establish a base camp within the heart of the Plane of Fire and fighting off the forces that try to undo their hard work. Players will see the camp -- the usual Druidic tree -- grow from a sapling to a full-sized base through the course of their questing. There will be about 60 different quests for players to do, but they are counted as daily quests so they will be repeatable and limited to a certain number per day. Rewards from these quests include some neat vanity items. Of particular note is the "Flaming Hippogryph", a new flying mount. Guess what it is! I'll give you a clue: It's a flaming hippogryph." - IGN

Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Deus Ex: Human Revolution!

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is an interesting upcoming sequel. It focuses largely on character development choosing whether you'd like to become a stealthy assassin, a guns blazing Rambo, or a hacker. Based on your development you'll be able to handle situations in various different ways. So you may want to look a little into each build before you start picking random choices. Although as IGN says in their article:

"The catch is you can't do everything all at once. Though Deus Ex may look and play like a first-person shooter with cover mechanics, there's a heavy emphasis on character development. This isn't Crysis where you can swap between stealth and armor at will. Instead, the choices you make stick with you. As protagonist Adam Jensen you modify your body and your gear in according with how you want to play." - Charles Onyett

Guild Wars 2 Intro to Environmental Art

As I'm a big MMORPG player, relatively I check out www.mmorpg.com and can find some nice information such as this. I'm looking forward to Guild Wars 2 as well as most of the the MMORPG community as it's practically the next MMORPG we're looking forward to next. Well anyway, Peter Fries wrote this article, who is an environment artist who helped work on the expansions, Factions, Nightfall, and Eye of the North. In the article Peter Fries speaks in depth about creating the environments himself and other artists as well. He explains the time and efforts put into it to make the player experience better regardless if it requires redoing a whole area over from scratch. Read a bit below:

"The list of considerations that an environment artist has is very long. Building a game environment involves technical concerns, like the impact of polygon density on display frame rates, collision mistakes that unintentionally trap players, and the idea that even the darkest place needs to look good in variable lighting. Our amazing internal technology and tool developers continually deepen the parameters available, from the motion of particle fields to perturbation patterns in the surfaces of water bodies. As the technology of the game improves, prop and map artists are constantly revisiting older assets to improve those as well.

I can think of no greater challenge our environment artists have than trying to live up to the vision of the studio’s amazing concept art team. Imagine being expected to actually build the incredible things that our art director Daniel Dociu comes up with, while he stands right behind you watching. Daniel doesn’t want to hear about your technical limitations, he wants to know why stray sprigs of grass aren’t breaking up the harsh line where a building’s façade meets the ground, or why rust hasn’t stained the masonry underneath that downspout. You know you’re in for it when Daniel starts furiously sketching on a stray napkin from your desk to illustrate his point!"

Linked Steam Accounts Not Affected By PSN Security Breach

"Steam has nothing to do with the PSN outage." - Steam

As the above link states, Steam isn't involved in any way with the PSN issue. Therefore, if your Steam account was linked to your PSN account such as through Portal 2, your Steam account isn't compromised or anything.  So on the bright side of everything, you don't need to worry about your Steam account.

Red Faction Armageddon Demo May 3rd

Yes that is indeed true, Red Faction Armageddon is having a demo release May 3rd.

"For the first time players will assume the role of Darius Mason and fight their way through Martian sewers and an oncoming alien infestation,” states THQ. “Meanwhile, Darius must clear his name as the colonists have blamed him for unleashing the alien threat that has ravaged the underground cities of Mars."

Six days away, I'll make sure to test it out and keep you guys updated.

"The demo will launch on XBLA and PSN simultaneously. A PC demo isn't planned." - THQ

Looks like we have another Bulletstorm situation on our hands. As the above quote says that a PC demo isn't planned, I'm sure many PC gamers will be angry. Bulletstorm at least eventually created one, regardless if it was long after the game was out. Things could change with Armageddon, but I suppose we'll just have to wait and see.

Update on PlayStation Network and Qriocity

"Although we are still investigating the details of this incident, we believe that an unauthorized person has obtained the following information that you provided: name, address (city, state, zip), country, email address, birthdate, PlayStation Network/Qriocity password and login, and handle/PSN online ID. It is also possible that your profile data, including purchase history and billing address (city, state, zip), and your PlayStation Network/Qriocity password security answers may have been obtained." - Patrick Seybold // Sr. Director, Corporate Communications & Social Media

And there you have it, Sony finally thought it was necessary a week later to tell their customers that their personal information, including credit card numbers may have been obtained. So as the quote says above, an unauthorized person, not a group, a person has hacked into the PS Network they finally have decided to straight up tell the community. In response to it all they've done the follow along with the updates:

"1.Temporarily turned off PlayStation Network and Qriocity services.
2.Engaged an outside, recognized security firm to conduct a full and complete investigation into what happened.
3.Quickly taken steps to enhance security and strengthen our network infrastructure by re-building our system to provide you with greater protection of your personal information."

Besides the above horrors you can look forward to the Network being back up some time next week likely:

"We have a clear path to have PlayStation Network and Qriocity systems back online, and expect to restore some services within a week."

WoW Patch 4.1 Rise of the Zandalari

- The Zandalari tribe has allied with the Zul'Gurub and Zul'Aman tribe to rebuild and replenish their forces for a bloody campaign to expand their territories. They aren't aligned with the Horde.

- Guild challenges are going to be a new feature for Guild Groups to endure falling into the three categories: Dungeons, raids and rated battlegrounds. These can reward guild experience, achievements, and gold. These are weekly tasks.

- The Guild Finder is a new feature allowing players looking for guilds to use in order to find a guild of their interest and for Guild Leaders to recruit members.

- Dungeon Finder: Call to Arms feature is also being added to make the 10 - 15 minute dungeon times for you to become quicker. It seems whenever you check this feature it'll say what role is currently mostly needed. There are goody bags for those who do this for lvl 85 Heroics which contain various valuables.

- Feel free to click the link to see the list of nerfing and strengthening to each class.

Red Faction: Origins the Series

Looks like THQ is taking an extra step and having SyFy make a series out of the Red Faction game series. It supposedly is focusing on the events in between Red Faction Guerilla and the upcoming game Red Faction Armageddon coming out May 31st. If you played Red Faciton Guerilla, you'll remember playing Alec Mason, well in Red Faction: Origins, you're son Jake Mason is going to be the main character. As it's SyFy it'll probably be a B-Grade movie, so who knows, it could be interesting.

PS Network Updates

"Unfortunately, I don’t have an update or timeframe to share at this point in time." - Patrick Seybold // Sr. Director

The above was said in todays update on the PS Network being down. Originally they said it would be a day or two, but as we can see this has changed. Every day or two they've been adding updates at least to try and make us feel better, although still we're stuck without any online for a questionable amount of time.

PS Network - External Intrusion

As you guys know I just started playing Mortal Kombat on my PS3, therefore I'd like to go online. But oh wait! I can't =/ Since Wednesday it's been down by Sony due to an external intrusion. Some attack or hack of some sort. They say it may be a full day or two at least to get it back up and running. Not sure when this was stated, so I can't say how long it's been but yeah. Read away on Kotaku:

Mortal Kombat Comments on Arcade Ladder

Heya guys. Posting this in the morning, well it's actually 2:47 PM, but I woke up like an hour ago. So lets call it the morning. I was playing the new Mortal Kombat last night with my brother on my PS3 as my 360 is starting to freak out. Baraka seems to be my epic character. Once I started out I learned the quick two easy combos, square triangle square, triangle square triangle. Then while playing learned all the moves and just have it all memorized. I never really was that great at fighting games, especially Street Fighter. I've played most of the Teken's though, so at least I have the experience. I was usually playing those with my brother as well. So I'm decent but didn't expect to do as good as I started to in Mortal Kombat. My brother has Sub Zero and Noob down really well. He got into Noob though and we finished the easy and medium arcade ladder. The hardest character in the arcade ladder was fricken Shang Tsung. He has just way too much health. My brother and I wiped on him like three matches before winning on medium. Then we win both rounds on Goro the next guy. The last boss Shao Kahn was probably weaker than he was earlier in the series. I played a few earlier Mortal Kombat's, but it was so long ago to remember it well enough. Shao Kahn became predictable at certain points and he's cocky so he taunts so much which lets you hit him constantly. One round with Baraka against him I was a distance away and kept doing my ranged attack(down, right, triangle). Then he'd taunt after, then I'd do it, then he'd taunt, and it'd keep repeating. Sometimes he would throw an arrow and I'd just duck or jump. But I got him to half health with that. Then at one point I jumped over him to the left and he'd do a green glowing jump to the right. Then I jumped back to the right, and he jumped to the left. And that repeated like seven times. =P Also, Nightwolf, must of been like five times or more, I knocked him over and then he'd do that green glowing wake up move coming flying forward at me. Good move, but after like the second time I predicted it every time. Definitely fun messing around with the arcade ladder. Going to have to try and beat it on hard later maybe. Btw, for anyone doing 1v1 versus with your friends, Press square and circle at the loading screen until it shows two swords crossing and you'll be in for a surprise.

~ Cya guys later

Dante's Inferno Blog Commentary with Tips 2

Heya everyone. It's 4:05 PM here now so I think I'm going to get started on playing a little more Dante's Inferno.  Probably going to post pone getting my Saints Row 2 disc fixed to tomorrow. Just a heads up as to the last post, each space in between paragraphs is for when I have a big pause and then come back with something to post. So I believe we stopped in Greed after the save around the gears. We got the soul and now are at the two shrines to the left. Grab those and lets go through the door.

After getting into the room you'll come across a new monster with two heads. I suppose he was greedy and they gave him two, *ba dum csh* Yeah I know, that wasn't funny. =P I'll make up for it later. Anyway, this guy does a spinning tornado attack where he moves around the room for like 10 - 15 seconds and you can't hurt him. You can block it as many times as you want or just evade/roll around while he does it. Picked up on the block relatively quick. You can now get like a 10 combo of just mashing X on him and he'll fall over. Then keep hitting his body and you'll knock it back a few times. Keep hitting it and I got up to like a 60 combo and he died. Basically he never gets up if you time it right. Then some more minions appear, just keep killing those. Then two of the two headed guys will pop up. Now get tactical and smart with these guys. There are still minions around, so when the two headed guys do the tornado move, have them move toward minions and toss them around. As I still had a ton of minions around during these guys, I'd do a double jump so the tornado couldn't reach me and then press B and do the Holy Blast wave attack. It'd shoot three since the double jump counts for the first attack I suppose in the combo, allowing you to attack the minions while the tornadoes are going around. Just got redemption so probably going to use that. Redemption doesn't let you attack them while they're in the tornado, just a heads up.

After killing them the lever will pop up again in the middle, use it, then run and jump up top. The shrine will have a Judas coin. After doing that, use the lever there, drop down quick and use the lever in the middle. Then run back and jump back up to that spot and jump onto the walls you've seen move up and down. It'll then work as an elevator and bring you up to that doorway above you. Run through it as it has spiked walls and can kill you. Evade/roll probably works.

After going down the elevator and entering the room with like the spinning death machine. I accidentally fell and it was a little arena scene with the two headed guy. Killed him, got some souls from a shrine, and a Judas Coin from one of the shrines in there as well.

After jumping around up top I got to the door that you're supposed to go through, but you can jump past here again and grab a ledge to get to a soul. This soul is Gessius Florus. He says in the game, "Please.. I had debts to repay. I.. never took pride." I looked at the wiki and it doesn't say anything about him owing any debts, but  if it were true it'd go against what the description says in the game. It says he did it for his own personal gain. For a quick history lesson, in the wiki it says he favored the Greek more than the Jews. I suppose that's what they mean in the description by splitting. The splitting wasn't necessarily his fault though as the Greeks took advantage of him favoring them. He kind of started the fire and the Greeks built it. It's said a Greek sacrificed several birds at the entrance of the Jew's synagogue; house of assembly. This declared the house unclean which was a big provocative moment. The Jews then tried to petition Florous for redress. They also gave him 8 talents so he'd hear the case but instead he had them imprisoned. Now he took 17 talents from the Temple in Jerusalem, saying that the money was for the emperor. I could see if that was where the debt was, but he also practically robbed them of their money to pay off his own debt. If that even is the case. The Jews then mocked Florus in public and Florus sent soldiers to raid the city and arrest City Leaders. The city leaders were then whipped and crucified even though many were Roman citizens. The Great Jewish Revolt led to Florus losing power, but after reading this all it's a bit interesting. I heard him say what he did about the debts and was a little more leaning toward absolving him. Read up on the wiki and now am more toward punishing him. I think he should maybe be in a different circle, but I do see where the greed is. Although it's not proven it was for his personal gain, so I'm a little iffy there. I'd probably punish him but I'm going to absolve him. I got 32 sins that time.

Alright once you go back to the door there, once you finish opening it, evade/roll in. It's easier than running.

Once you use the lever in there and jump into the middle we get a new relic. Wasted Gold. Every successful attack increases the Redemption fill rate. Lvl 1: 10%, Lvl 2: 20%, Lvl 3: 30%. Not too bad. See right now I have Antony's Standard, and I'm tempted to swap out with this. Antony's Standard is level 3, but I feel like the Wasted Gold relic will work quicker. Not sure.

We're now clocked in at 5:55:02, I wasted a lot of time though.

After going into the next room with the wall slowly closing. Start turning the lever-like thing until the monsters get to you. Then evade/roll away and pull them into the way of the saws. Instant kill, go back to the lever. And basically repeat. Then go through the gate to the right. I would recommend taming the beast first as this makes killing the rest of the demons easy.

What was that, you wanted another relic? Well of course here you go. After opening the door with the beast, then going through that small spot and opening the door, walk down the hallway to the Poet. Talk to him once  or twice if you want. Climb the wall, make the turn to the right and follow it all the way. Then drop down at the second spot and you'll notice one of those dog-like things. Coin of Plutus. Increases the combo window that allows Dante to acquire Style Points and increment the Hit Counter. Lvl 1: 1 second, Lvl 2: 2 seconds, Lvl 3: 3 seconds. This can be good for when you're trying to get the achievement or trophy Masterpiece - Perform a 200 hit combo. Especially if you're trying to get the achievement or trophy Poetry in Motion - Perform a 666 hit combo.

Didn't realize until I checked on the way back while still on that wall. Go get the Judas Coin in the drop down you skipped when going to get the Coin of Plutus relic. There's a shrine there that has it.

A little ahead after dropping down into another area without a way back up of course means something terrible is about to happen. We get a mini boss here now. He's a little like the demon in the aspect that when his axe turns red, you can't block it. So evade/roll away. I can usually get a 5 - 8 combo and then he'll block it with his shield or do the red axe attack and I'll have to back up. You can't block his charge attack, but you can just evade/roll away. I noticed half of his axe will become orange/red obviously meaning it's hot, but it cools down after a few seconds or if you attack him. You can use the Holy Cross attack to get rid of that usually. He also just did this attack where he leaned backwards on his right side with his axe and brought it up and forward with a fire attack attached to it. But I was able to block it. I think if you're not right next to him when he does that he shoots his fire bolt thing which you can block. Also, you can use Vindication(B after countering) to throw him in the air and knock him over allowing for some hits. The Holy Cross attack with B and Holy Blast(BB) tend to help for multiple situations. Like if he charges at you, you can use it and it'll sometimes break him out of his charge. Sometimes if you're a distance away you can get a 10 - 15 combo with it and maybe knock him over. So it can be effective. Especially if you have upgraded it to Holy Devastation. I didn't use any magic during the battle but I'm sure there could of been multiple uses for it.

After beating that mini boss go grab the well for a Judas Coin past the gate that once was there. That one got me Footsteps of a Traitor, Find 10 pieces of silver.

Once you go back into the ring after using the lever two of the two headed guys show up while two birds are on the way. You can jump around letting one of them do the tornado attack and keep hitting the other. Or try to get a combo attacking both of them at once now allowing them to do the tornado attack and if you get it down you can keep hitting them and they'll stay down making things easy. But once the birds arrive usually it messes that up. I'd do a double jump and grab them as that's a one hit kill. So just double jump to them twice and do that. Then go back to fighting the two headed guys. After that you jump over to the second spot and you get those annoying chicks and I think two more birds.

Health and mana shrine after finishing up that. =] Sitting on 11,607 souls right now, waiting to get lvl 5 Holy. And I mean I'm sooo close. Wow.. I just did a double jump toward the platform and fell into the lava =/

After fighting off the three demons and birds I turned the lever-like thing to make the structure face right. Shot the fire ball and climbed up the right side getting some souls and a Judas Coin. Then the left side to save and move on.

After the Poet and you get to the God of Wealth, remember you can grab the explosive minions and throw them at monsters. Useful method. It doesn't work against the two headed guys while they're in the tornado. They just bounce off.

Once you've killed those guys for the simple puzzle here just look at this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHG0hnpSdc0&t=3m42s

As my Xbox 360 has just decided to stop working I'm done for right now and am going to jump onto some PC gaming for now. I'll get back to this another time =]

Dante's Inferno Blog Commentary with Tips

Contain spoilers as you go.

Heya everyone, playing Dante's Inferno for a bit since my Saints Row 2 disc won't work =/ Just started for a heads up and playing on my Xbox 360. Going to make paragraphs as I get further and further. Each new paragraph is after I paused. Throughout the paragraphs you'll notice tips, guides, bugs, or just comments on everything I've been coming across. Here we go: I've noticed they tend to tell you instructions after you need them. Like in the beginning the prisoners start attacking you and then like after 10 seconds they're like oh yeah you can press X and Y to attack. I figured this out quick considering X just seemed like the right button considering various games. Then when fighting Death, it's like you can block after you do your first 8 - 10 combo hit on him. Then they tell you how to evade after getting into one of those pressing B fights. Speaking of Death, I tried playing with the difficulty Hellish. I died four times and then found out about blocking after having known about evading but still. Combined those two and got him to a little more than a quarter health, he beat me in a B fight and threw me off the little asteroid thing we were on. After that I switched to Zealot and it was like BAM, killed him easily. So I figured out I'm definitely not too bad at the game after figuring out blocking and evading. I would block, get a 10 - 12 combo on him and he'd back up. He'd probably do the aoe attack or a ranged attack, I'd block it. Then evade/roll to him, get a 10 - 12 combo or a 5 combo and he'd block. Then just keep repeating and I massacred him.

So far I've been absolving everyone and have found this to be pretty easy. I'm currently at my first guy Pontius Pilate. I looked up his name and found out a little about him as I wasn't too familiar with the name. I like that it's not just some random name and actually has meaning behind it. I'm currently typing this before I do anything but I think I'm going to absolve him as that's the path I'm going with. Not sure how everything roles out if you punish or absolve though. Maybe the game really does have a big difference in the end. Or this ending as opposed to that one. Besides exp of course. Absolve it is. Just did the small mini game, meaning like 30 seconds went by in between the last sentence and this one =P I think I missed three, but I did alright. A couple times I had to press two buttons at once but didn't due to the way my hands were holding the controller.

Just a short note, I absolved Orpheus and missed three souls again. The little block in this room to get up top, it took me a minute to figure it out because of my perspective. Not being able to move the camera can be a little annoying at certain parts, but I suppose it works out.

Oh hey you're about to hit me? Well I just grabbed someone and am now absolving them, so I'm invincible. Yeah, that's what it's looking like so far, everything just like freezes or they stop trying to hit me when I start absolving at least. Probably the same with punishing I'd imagine. I suppose it'd make things harder, but still. I was practically about to die earlier around like 15 minions and just did that trick to every single one of them and was fine. Anyways, currently on I believe Acheron's Lake? I could be wrong. Just wiped out the minions and stronger ones and figured a good trick to the big beast you can tame. I was in front of it, getting a 6 - 8 combo evading/rolling backwards, then it would either attack the ground with it's arms in front of me or stomp and it's arms would be low enough to hit once or twice to keep my combo. If it attacks the ground with it's arms, start attacking it and then run forward and hit it's legs a few times. If it doesn't, start attacking forward and you'll probably hit it's arms once or twice but keep your combo and you'll start hitting it's legs again. Then evade/roll backwards and you just keep repeating. Before you know it, you'll grab them. I also noticed when you evade you're invincible, even if they attack the ground where you evaded through or were about to land. Not necessarily a bug, but probably just could of been developed differently or better. Regardless, makes it easier for me. I also love how once you tame the beast, they're like now we're going to send in minions and such. Could just be timing but who knows. =P

Well the beginning of Limbo is seeming interesting. I got into the room with the baby and kind of just let it follow me for like two minutes seeing if there was anything good I could do besides the obvious, kill him. Tried to make him leap into the fire of the Mom. Yeah I know, not that good, but I mean er.. at least I wouldn't of been killing him. You know, just putting him back into the womb.. of fire... uh... yeah... that's it. Pretty much figured out I had to kill him and then just started killing them all. Yeah, I'm a mass baby killer! Woohoo. I hate not being able to tell if I'm going forward or backwards. Sometimes after you go a little too far the right way and sometimes it's not even that far, a door closes behind you and you can never return. Say good bye relic or whatever else. I think I skipped one spot so far, but I'm keeping an eye open.

So I found Electra. Not knowing much I looked her up and found a few chicks half naked, not bad, but obviously not what I was looking for =P Looked a little more and found a wiki. Supposedly Electra helped kill Clytemnestra; her mother, but Pylades and Orestes did more of the work when it came to murdering her. Orestes was cursed by Clytemnestra after the murder, but was purified at the temple at Delphi. Not sure what happened to Pylades. Electra wasn't cursed and didn't really read up past that. Just read a little more about the murder of Agamemnon. The death of Agamemnon was avenged by Orestes because the Delphic oracle ordered this. Therefore, Electra wasn't really a major part of the murder of Clytemnestra. Interesting little history lesson there definitely. I'd absolve her either way, but after reading that I would of definitely.

Currently fighting King Minos. He's the blind one with tentacles. Here's some tips about basically every situation that comes up. When he's popping the tentacles up out of the ground just keep running until he stops. When he brings his head down, I'm not sure yet if he does the right first, or the left or if there's some trick to figuring out which way he shoots his tongue. Although you can jump in the air and start attacking his head, it doesn't hit every time but I'm pretty sure it avoids his tongue. If he hits you, you'll get knocked over and a tentacle will pop up ready to kill you. That one never hit me, it'll get ready to hit you and I think it was left stick to the right and then the left. Then you'll get back up even though you missed the opportunity. When his head is down though you can start attacking him and if you hit him enough times he'll bring his head back up and hold it. Then he'll reveal a red area at the bottom of him and you can get like a 18 - 25 combo of attacks there. Then he comes back. If his tentacles move on the left and right that are wrapped around the buildings, you'll see the orange sphere. Go near it and then when the right bumper shows up at the top, press it right away and it'll dodge an attack. When he starts smashing the ground with his fist, instead of evading constantly, run to the back right area of the game. To the right of the spike machine he used to kill the suicide victim. If you go the farthest back, he can't hit you with the smash. When he puts his arm on the ground to the farthest left or right, jump and wait a second in mid air, then do a double jump to jump right over his arm. When he does that move, that spot where I said to hide in the back, doesn't avoid it. But you can just double jump there. After beating him and you do the RB leash thing to swing, swing all the way up and then jump. I didn't go all the way up and fell. =P

On the repelling spot, on the second rope, climb up to the top. There's a soul statue dispenser sorta thing that has a silver Judas coin. I just missed a spot, but I believe above the third rope is an area. I think you can reach a rope attached to the wall if you pick up momentum on the top of the second rope and leap over to above the third rope. I saw two orange spheres at the top of the ledge above the third rope, so it looked like something of interest. Maybe a relic.

Small tip, when you repel on the rope to the shiny object and break that. If you're relatively low on the rope where I'd imagine you'd only be able to hit it, you're probably low enough to jump and RB leash the orange sphere.

Looked at a wiki quick on Francesca da Polenta. The name was familiar and I remembered what was explained in the small description slightly. I looked up her name on google and got Francesca da Rimini. I think Rimini is her maiden name. There wasn't a whole lot in the wiki I looked at quick, basically whats in the description. I'll absolve her, but thinking about it and not sure what I'd do.

For the tornado part where you move forward and the lightning stops at each circle and goes down the middle. You can run like two at a time after it's passed, but you can only avoid it on the left I believe. I don't think the right works. At the second statue on the left, there's a lever, the orange sphere should make it stand out. When the lightning shows up, use it, and it'll change the direction of it towards the tornado, making a door for you to go through into it. You'll see the Poet right before the tornado, so you may want to talk to him before making the door as it'll disappear before you finish talking to him making you have to open the tornado again.

Never thought to talk to the Poet twice, but it paid off this time. If you talk to the poet twice in tornado area right outside the elevator you'll get Tristan's Desire. It's a relic that increases the damage of all Magic attacks. Lvl 1: 10%, lvl 2: 15%, lvl 3 20%. No requirements. In here there's a mana shrine/statue if you move far left of the Poet while still outside the elevator. Just jump over to the platform below you a little. Health shrine inside to the right. After pulling the statue from the farthest forward in the elevator area onto the elevator, use the lever at the left pushing the elevator upward. Then climb onto it, use the shrine/statue at the left for a Judas coin and then use the shrines at the right. Then use the lever at the right and quickly jump back onto the elevator.

On the elevator there are more of those chicks, I realized using the divine waves with B isn't too bad of a strategy at killing them. And the bigger/stronger minion doesn't get in the way while killing them with that really. After the giant chick climbing the tower punches through the wall, run toward the opening, jump, and then RB leash for the orange sphere near the hole. Another good strategy I noticed at killing the chicks is using Sacred Judgment(LT + B).

Well that was erm... interesting, a giant demon-chick... just popping babies out of her nipples.. ones with swords for arms... and her nipples had tongues.... hmm... I'd still tap it. To beat her, hit her hand at the right for an 8 - 10 combo, then run to the lever at the left as the elevator raises. Double jump to the lever, use it and it'll turn the snake heads outside toward her. Jump down, attack her hand again, double jump to the lever at the right. Use it and it'll make the snake heads shoot fire, wait too long and the snake heads will turn back toward you.

When you have beaten that little part, you'll see the shrine to the right, go toward it, use it, then to the right of that is a secret-ish rope you can climb down to a soul/Paolo Malatesta. After going back up take the left to get back. Now lets see, we dealt with Francesca already. Paolo says, I betrayed my brother, my own flesh of blood. It was not a passing aroma, it was our destiny." I think he says aroma, it's hard to tell. I'm not sure if I'd punish him but not sure if I'd absolve him. I mean if he started flirting with Francesca and then she got interested in him, then maybe I'd punish him as it was his doing that he betrayed his brother kind of. But also that would go back to absolving or punishing Francesca, considering that would be like breaking her loyalty. But if Francesca flirted with Paolo and he fell into it, I'd take off the punishment as much. But I mean I suppose that's kinda the same with Francesca and loyalty. He should of said no. But I mean love is a crazy thing that you can't really understand or explain. So it's kind of a hard situation to make a choice on. You'd need to see it all happen as it did to really know how to choose. It comes down to perspective a lot as well. Absolve it is anyway though. Before I did this I wiki'd Paolo Malatesta and saw his picture of him kissing Francesca's cheek and a pretty sky in the background. Francesca's wiki picture shows the same kiss but instead Francesca on the leftm Paolo on the right and they're in a room. Gianciotto the husband/brother is behind a curtain behind them watching them with a sword out. Funny looking at the difference between the two.

Arrow of Paris relic when you go farthest to the right on the wall of people, you'll see one of those dog-like guys on a platform to the right where you have to jump off the wall and onto there or grab the ledge. Do the B thing to absolve them and you get it. Arrow of Paris requires Unholy Level 1 to equip. Grab attack damage is increased. Lvl 1: 25%, Lvl 2: 50%, Lvl 3: 100%.

Currently at Semiramis. Just searched in google her name and found a hotel and her wiki. Skimmed through the wiki and found out she married her son after her husband died and ruled for her son. Not exactly sure what they were referring to in the description. But going to absolve her. Got all the sins except one =/

Died twice at fighting Antony but figured out a slowish but good method. Just a quick tip which you'll see probably 2 - 4 times during fighting Antony, the chick will put her hand on the ground from outside again and you'll have to attack it a few times until she pulls it back. She'll be strengthening Antony if you don't take it back, not sure what happens if you don't do anything. Maybe he gets a lot of health back or something. Just a guess. Well anyway, my last time of fighting him I managed to take out like 75% of his health just by being a distance away, double jumping and then pressing B and hitting Antony with that. If you jump or double jump it automatically makes the attack into three crosses. May be stronger than the one, besides being able to hit multiple people. That's good too for when he runs at you ready to kick you. It'll stop him. When he's just walking around use it once or twice. When he puts his shield down and has that move that shoots forward and then curves to the left or right, you can sometimes shoot over the shield but not always. Also when he puts his shield down and then does that attack where has the swords go forward. After the time of that attack finishes, he'll pick his sword up and shoot a horizontal fire wave at you for the first half. In the second half he'll also do a jump toward you and slam his sword down into the ground. Jumping doesn't really dodge that, but you can probably evade. You can double jump over the fire wave though, but if you're in mid air when he does it, it'll shoot in mid air at you. It shows wherever you were once he starts it. Every now and then I used Sacred Judgment(LT + B), it did a little damage and I kind of just used it if I was on the ground near him after a few melee attacks and he was shielded. Or maybe after I evaded. He usually blocks the lure/pull part so it just does the aoe damage which is nice. Divine Force(Holding and releasing B) may of been a good idea for when he shields after you melee him and then evade/roll backwards. Or a few other times when he uses his shield. I didn't use it, but I'd imagine it'd knock back his shield or take it away. He'll do a four hit attack if you're close to him after he kicks you. The first three slices you can block, but then the third one is a forward flaming thrust that goes through your block. I suppose either stop him before he can use it or evade/roll away maybe. I tried to evade/roll a few times but I had difficulty with that, so not sure if it would or wouldn't work. Kept forgetting I had it but, maybe you could use Vindication(Press B after countering) during that. Not sure if it'd work or not as I didn't, but it's an idea to try. I used my spell Righteous Path a few different times randomly until out of mana. Great move for fighting him as it breaks through his shield and he can't block it. I'm sure this attack can be used for wiping out a small portion of his health and probably tactically.

After beating Antony a scene happens and then an interactive scene: LS Down, LS Up, LS move from right counter clockwise to left, LS Up. Then you stab her, but it looks a little weird if you ask me from the vision the camera has it. Thankfully it zooms out and proves you wrong =P Hello a new spell, Lust Storm. "Dante surrounds himself with a storm of dark energy that deals damage to enemies."

After all that you'll start going down on the elevator. After fighting enemies something will drop and break a part of the elevator. When it drops there will be no monsters and it'll go into slow motion. Regardless if you're under it or not. If you're under it, don't try to run, evade/roll away from it. You can roll off I believe, so watch that. After the elevator breaks completely and you fall, there will be an orange sphere kind of obvious and you'll have to press RB. Then again to catch the leash momentum one. Then go from there.

Alright, so as you're fighting Cerebus you'll notice these orange things on the ground, which are basically the orange spheres that tell you to press RB. You can go up to one, press RB, then mass press B, and it'll make fire come out of the ground. Then one of heads will lunge at you to bite you, but they'll hit the fire. If you're still in the area, it'll still hit you, but the fire will cause it to fall over and allow you to start beating the hell out of it. As you'll notice they shoot some sort of vomit ball at you that they get from the water around you. If the word water even counts. Anyway, when attacking the head on the floor, hide on the outside part and attack it so the others can't spit at you. Meaning, start with the left and right first. The middle you can't fight until they're done. I suggest mainly only using the orange spheres closest to you as it is easiest. After using one it'll take a little while until it comes back, so get one side and then the other. Then while waiting for them to come back as it takes a little, run up a little close to the left or right one, it'll pull it's neck back and do the lunge again. Evade/roll away and then come back and start attacking it. You can only attack it for like two seconds or so, but the damage adds up. I believe they'll only flip over though on the ground if you hit them with the fire. Although as they're going back up from a fire attack sometimes while you're attacking them as they slide away they'll flip. After they've been attacked so much they'll flip onto their side and you'll have to run the closest to the end of their neck toward them and you can press the right trigger and stab their neck. Then you'll start stabbing it's neck automatically as it goes back up. Then it'll have an interactive quick scene where you press Y. One down. Repeat as such with the second one. Then the left one will be like these ones, except you may have to angle it's bite onto the fire. As this is the last one, it will be a bit quicker when it spits and bites making it slightly harder and more annoying. Regardless when this is done you'll press RB I believe it was, jump toward them and BAM it eats you. Game over, not really. =P I was wondering what happened once it happened to me and it took a few seconds with nothing happening. I was just like, alright, game over, after all this, good bye Beatrice =P But nope, after this another interactive scene occurs. Nothing too complicated but it goes like this: LS Up, LS Down, LS Left, LS Right.

And we get ourselves a new relic! Azrael's Apprentice. Requires Unholy Level 1 to equip. Any successful block on an enemy has a chance to stun the enemy. Lvl 1: 10%, Lvl 2: 15%, Lvl 3: 25% Can't wait until I get some holy relics =P

So now after going a little into Glutton I find a rope leading into a hole where I just saw one of those worms eat a minion and a couple other minions ran off. This sounds like a great idea already. Looking forward to this area, especially the way it looks. Very pretty and welcoming. I mean like only every other time there's been a rope that once I drop down and can't go back up it leads to a boss or something terrible. But you know what, I bet this time it's going to be great. Maybe there will be some rainbows =P And I just dropped.. and it wasn't rainbows =/

Just a heads up, 3:47:04 time played so far, although writing this while playing and got up a few times for like 5 - 10 minute breaks.

Now we have ourselves another soul stuck here for eternity, what ever shall we do. Ciacco is our customer. As he's not a major historical figure, historians haven't found out much about him other than him being in the Divine Comedies. Along with a few theories being made about him. Giovanni Boccaccio may have of mentioned Ciacco in the Novel VIII of the Ninth day of the Decameron. In the story this character was the protagonist, but their name was never mentioned so it's only a theory. But they were described as quote on quote, ""a man second to none that ever lived for inordinate gluttony ... and being, for the rest, well-mannered and well furnished with excellent and merry jests". Ciacco in the game, it sounds like he says. "The only God I will shoot with my.. excess. I was loved for my kindness." The developers probably knew about the second last quote and made this connection. If this is the truth, I'd Absolve Ciacco. He made of been a glutton, but he was a friendly glutton maybe cancelling it out, making him a neutral, making it balanced out. Like a second chance. Missed a few this time on the sins. Also noticed one of the sins is darkened, let it go by, don't press the button on it.

Hello Clodia. Hello Wikipedia. Clodia Metelli, wife of Metellus. Or shall I say the Medea of the Palatine as Cicero once said. I read up about Clodia a little bit. I would punish her as she did everything that description says. She also made false accusations about Caelius attempting to poison her. And it's suspected she poisoned her husband. Her husband and her had gotten into tons of arguments, even in public. But I mean divorce, split up, something, not poison him. She had tons of affairs with other people. Not exactly a good set up. But I'm still going to absolve her. 32 sins captured, coulda done better.

After jumping through that area, you'll go through a tunnel and meet up with the Poet yet again. Talk to him twice and you'll get a relic. Ciacco's Bile. Woah, for reals, I finally found a holy relic =D Ciacco's Bile Requires Holy Level 5 to equip. Grants Dante persistent mana regeneration. Leveling up this relic will increase speed of mana regneration. Equip relics to modify stats and abilities. Equipped relics will upgrade as you collect souls. Might have to equip that one.

Just a tip, the worms can be used to attack enemies. Near the end of this part of the Glutton area when you're flighting the monsters, I noticed you can go near the mana well area and the worm will go back down underground. Then evade/roll out of that area and have the minions and/or stronger minions walk toward the hole and it'll lunge out at them. =]

After the first Glutton area and entering this white place, you'll come across like a mini-boss. He's not hard, just has a load of health. He ran at me once, but never saw him do it after that time. He'll spit bile in a U toward himself in front of him. He'll fart bile in a U toward him. Getting hit by it or standing on it will hurt you. It disappears after like 2 - 3 seconds. I let him spit the bile at me, ran behind him but not directly, started attacking him, kept attacking him as he turned around to face me, evaded/rolled to the right, got behind him again and continued until he died. After a while he'll fall over and then when he gets up you can RT him. For Absolve you have to start pressing B a lot instantly or else he cancels it like right away. After beating him, prepare for your mind to be mind fucked. As this part would be very difficult to explain, you can figure out how to do it in this youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXQrkOPSb-Y&feature=relmfu#t=5m03s

Now I've been playing for 4:30:44. Now start counting to keep it on time. =P

After getting through that area, you'll get into the new area. Follow along and once you get to the first rope, you'll swing to another spot you can climb up or down. It's not a rope as it's stuck to the wall. Climb all the way up and you'll find a Judas Coin and a relic. Octavian's Gold. Impossible.. another holy relic! Level 1/1 Requires Holy Level 3 to equip. Grants the ability to perform an automatic Special Recovery attack whenever Dante is knocked down. Not going to equip it, but it sounds like it could come in handy.

Now we're a bit further along, after getting through all those fire traps you're back on the ground. Follow the tunnel until you get to the spot where you have to jump onto the elevated ground, then jump again. Well do that part. Get to the top, then go furthest to the right touching the wall. You can kinda see something under the wall right? Now walk along the wall and drop, then move under the wall, and double jump forward. Heya Mr. Relic. Crown of Carthage. Requires Holy Level 5 to equip. Dante is protected from ranged enemy attack damage by an additional percentage. Lvl 1: 10%, Lvl 2: 15%, Lvl 3: 20%. Now go back up top. Walk straight a little bit and you'll see an opening to your left. That means there's a ledge you can jump to at the right wall. Climb up, use the shrine, jump across, use the shrine and you get a Judas Coin. Drop back down and walk forward a bit, there's a shrine to the top left but I'm not quite sure how to get to it.

After getting the achievement for killing 30 demons I just realized that every time I said stronger minion, I meant a demon. =P

4:52:26 is the clocked in time. Have you been counting the seconds? =D

Now when you come across the gears after the save you'll see a soul at the top right once you jump from the gears on the right to the ones on the left to keep going on. Just from the third highest gear on the left, to the one sticking out of the wall, the highest one. The horizontal one, obviously not the vertical. Then you have to try and jump off this gear around the verticle gear, then double jump to the ledge and pull yourself up.

Here we have Tarpeia. As the description says, she opened the city gates allowing the Sabines to attack Rome. But the description says for gold, when rather it was for the bracelets they had. She had gone to their camp and saw the bracelets which she wanted out of greed. Instead the Sabines threw their shields at her crushing her body, killing her. They then threw her body from the Tarpeian Rock. Just a little history fact, they Sabines got into the city but couldn't take the Forum due to boiling jets of water protecting it's gates. For wanting the bracelets, I have nothing wrong with that. I mean who wouldn't want these probably golden bracelets. But it's the fact that she broke her loyalty to Rome and opened the gates allowing tons of Romans to be slaughtered. The description says, "Insouciant with those around her" she should care about those around her. Even if she doesn't care about them, that doesn't mean allow them all to die for a bracelet. I suppose greed is where it starts, but just have to know where to cross the line. She's been absolved. 34 sins that time.

I have to admit, even in hell there are some nice parts of it. I got the chance to spin around on gears for a few minutes =D

The timer is 5:09:22 and I am checking out for now. I thank you all very much for reading through this and perhaps tomorrow I will finish up the game with my tips, guides, walkthroughs, comments and opinions, and all that other great stuff.

Saints Row 2 Broken =/

So I beat Saints Row the first a while ago and have been looking forward to getting the second for my xbox 360. So I finally saw it for only like $20 pre-owned or around there and got it yesterday. Came home and it crashed in the player creation. Got a new copy today, bam, crashes at the start screen. Figured I'd try again since I tried three times yesterday with that one and no luck. Tried again and it crashed like two minutes into the player creation. Going to get another tomorrow and just play Dante's Inferno for now and see what happens. I mean I don't think it's the xbox 360, but I mean the games are used. They only have pre-owned ones at the store right now, so going to swap out again and hope it works tomorrow.

Portal 2 Opinion about Glados

Spoiler

You know, after playing Portal 1 you hate Glados and she's always discouraging you and trying to make you feel horrible about yourself. Then you play Portal 2 and it's like, oh hey some more discouragement, and then BAM! When you switch Glados and Wheatly I felt bad, she like screamed and stuff. Then the potato =P I thought that was really funny. Especially when we were falling after that part. "How are you holding up? Because I'm a potato." =D But I mean after beating the game you finally like Glados I suppose because it's more so Caroline you like as opposed to Glados. Glados doesn't completely become Caroline when a potato, but she's halfway there and it lets you see the soft and good side that actually wants to work with you. Instead of destroying you. Glados actually lets you go, even though as your leaving it looks like BAM turrets, game over, Portal 3 now. But nope, they start making music go figure. Weird song they made, but it was cool with the synchronization and everything. After seeing a bit of Caroline come back to Glados, it turned out I liked Glados by the end of Portal 2. Anyone else feel that? Sorry Wheatly for putting you in space =P Suppose greed can get to you. Well that's my opinion on Glados, thanks for reading.

Portal 2 Comments

Heya guys, just beat Portal 2 on PS3. Which also means I have it for the PC and can play it in fact. If anyone is interested in playing coop with me feel free to ask. For anyone whose stuck on the campaign there are tons of walk throughs on the internet if you search in google, had to find them for a friend. =P A couple parts got me really confused though. The game is definitely very fun and I would recommend playing Portal 1 first to follow up with the plot. You can play Portal 2 though and get kind of an idea of what Portal 1 was like in the first quarter of the game or so. Nice twist midway in the game, you can get attached to the characters, I liked the soundtrack a lot personally. As I was playing this a few times I thought about how a game that is just a ton of puzzles and makes you really think is somehow fun. The single player campaign and coop campaign are separate so they're their own thing. Play with a friend or find some online, it's definitely worth playing. Pick it up at Gamestop or on Steam. Nifty little thing is PS3 players can play with PC players for coop. Not sure if 360 works to PC as well. Well that's just some of my comments without ruining anything in the game. =]

Colony of War Blog/Review

Colony of War

Heya everyone, I played Colony of War in the technical beta personally under the name snakester95. I practically owned a union called Union of Hearts for anyone who may of known me, we made it to the 10th rank. Currently I'm playing in the open beta, leading my union Ravens. We're ranked 3rd right now with a 100 or 200 population lead. The game is fun at first, space is definitely a fun part, but after a while construction, research, and unit production becomes enormous time lengths. Which is something various browser games like this are known for, but the time lengths definitely hold you back a lot. Personally, I may only play a couple more weeks, considering in a week some of my buildings may take three days to finish and it wouldn't surprise me. As the game has only been out 10 - 13 days, it still has some bugs here and there and is being worked on. If you've played Evony, I would say it's very much like that in the Colony area. But then there's the space, but once you get into space you'll learn you should party up with people for most killing quests and the rest of the time doing five 2hr harvests throughout the day. So basically it's a big waiting game and if you're a weaker player as to your army, once your 7 day peacetime is up, there are people who may farm you for resources. Anti-matter and sol are resources many players will attack your colony for as you can't get it from many different sources. Currently in the game I've been attacked multiple times by the same player as I just passed his union in the ranks, so he's farming me basically. Part of the game is unfortunately very unbalanced due to nCash users, making this a buy to win. It may be less as bad in the future though. Right now my Colony Hall is upgrading to level 11 which I think I have four hours left and total it was a 21 hour wait. My research is currently only 1hr as opposed to my usual 12 hour one. Often I've got a 1 - 3 hour wait for making my armies which is lovely. Then while all this is going on I get to go and do 2hr harvests. The game is very fun and you'll have to rely on the community for certain times of boredom. What is going to probably get me to leave soon enough, is in a way the grinding of the game. The constant wait time of doing absolutely nothing. It's like alright, lets start my construction, research, army building, harvest, and then come back in maybe two hours for another harvest, or come back tomorrow and just check into the game once a day to do daily quests and those things. Therefore it's going to get boring quick.

Cya later. =]
