Machinarium

Machinarium!

Machinarium, I do not have this game sadly, but my brother bought it. Just take a moment, go on youtube, and search in Machinarium Soundtrack, you will hear some incredible music. My brother dropped me a link and then I found this one song I like so much in the soundtrack callled Gameboy Tune. It has a pretty cool beat and has prevented me from playing a couple games until it finishes. I finished a blog and was about to go play some Amensia and then was like damn... two minutes left on the song. And listened to the song getting into the beat or motion of the song and waited for it to end. Then was like, must... restrain... from.... reply.. button! Obviously I wouldn't press it again, seriously, who can't restrain themself from pressing a button. Therefore, I definitely did not waste another four minutes, and went ont playing Amnesia. Well anyway, lets go back to Machinarium, I haven't bought this game, but I beat the demo on the website. Which I highly recommend for a ton of people to play. The game is hand drawn from what I've been told and the art is just amazing. The game can be a stressful puzzler though, but as you can see this game is full of art, so it is indeed a game requiring creativity. They have a walkthrough book which you can use at any time which is full of pictures as a guide to get you through the level which is very nice. But unfortunately you have to play a small, relatively easy mini game in order to unlock the page. The thing I didn't like was that I was stuck at one part, so I did the mini game, got past the part I was stuck at, got stuck again, and then went back and you have to play the mini game. So that was a bit annoying and I just jumped to youtube. But for those of you looking for a big challenge, try and beat the game without the walkthrough. You may go insane, but have fun. Along with the walkthrough book, you can press the tip button to the left of the book. I believe there's one tip per level and it'll show you like a little animation to try and help you out. It's a tip so it's not straightforward, but it's helpful. It's better than jumping to the walkthrough and giving up right away when you've lost hope. Well anyway, my experience of the demo, I did check the walkthrough once in the game, and once outside of the game for small parts where I was just clueless. I gave up a bit easily I'll admit and may of figured it out if I screwed around for a few minutes and just waved my mouse around the screen aimlessly for an hour. =P But nah, I'm sure if you're willing, it's not an impossible feat. Definitely though, when you're stuck, just relax for a minute, take a look at the great artwork and listen to the music. It's some awesome music I swear. Listened to that Gameboy Tune like four times while writing this and listening to The Bottom now. Which is pretty good. Makes me kind of think Egyptian a little in the beginning. Anyone else feeling that? Maybe it's just me.. Hmm.. maybe.. damn... Demo is definitely fun, a good idea of the game, take a look, try it, even if you don't like the game or aren't a big puzzler, listen to the music. Take a look at screenshots. I swear, a lot of work went into this small game. And for those of you not looking to download the demo, right on the site you can play it. Click the Play Demo button and BAM! You can start playing. Well have fun guys, if you buy it, tell me what you think, maybe hit up their forum if they have one. Thanks for reading, see you in my next blog.

Talk to you robots later =D
