SEGA Sonic Playground in East Oakland!

To celebrate Sonic's 20th Anniversary SEGA created a playground focused on Sonic the Hedgehog! As well as the soon to come game Sonic Generations coming out November 1st to the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. The Nintendo 3DS as well on November 22nd. SEGA partnered up with KaBOOM! to create the playground today October 28th in East Oakland, California, at the Youth Uprising Community center for children. Around 150 volunteers from the community have worked for eight hours today to complete the playground in just one day. Which I'm sure definitely took a load of hard work but I'd say was worth the pay off. Check out some of the pictures tweeted throughout the day below, they really show what you can do if you really put your mind to it! For even more check out these tweets: playground, mural, sonic!

Sega tweeted earlier:  "Apparently we mixed 10,000 lbs of concrete and spread two dump trucks of mulch! -KB"

World of Warcraft Expansion - Mists of Pandaria

A whole new continent for you to explore and conquer! From the trailer you'll notice there's the new race Pandaren, which obviously is a panda. There's going to be a new class known as the Monk. My guess is it'll be similar to the Paladin but more spell based. Best of all, a new continent called Pandaria. You'll be able to adventure through this world up to the new level cap of 70! There's going to be "Challenge Mode Dungeons", "PvE Scenarios" and a "Pet Battle System". Also a whole new talent system for us to make builds out of. So now the best player may have to be redefined because a whole new player is going to arise from this. More details will come!

Thanks for the trailer Gamespot!

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Gameplay!

Some interesting gameplay on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive between the US and Europe! Both videos are relatively long, but besides any quick pauses, it just means a load of gameplay! Gotta love some of the stuff Rock Paper Shotgun digs up.

StarCraft Universe PvP Beta

You may remember me posting about StarCraft Universe a while back, well it's definitely made some progress since then. You can view the above trailer that posted just a few days ago to see what it is if you don't know already and get updated on whats going on. There's going to be a PvP Beta test between October 19th and 30th to test the game. StarCraft Universe is basically an MMORPG similar to World of Warcraft but in the StarCraft world. I'm not sure if this beta is going to be open to everyone or not, but we'll definitely know soon. It'll also be playable at BlizzCon for sure. If you navigate around the new website you may be able to figure something out. You'll definitely notice the site is new and improved as to the last time I posted and it was only a forum basically. Blizzard has approved of the MMORPG, so we'll see what happens with this mod for sure.

You can thank Rock Paper Shotgun for info.

Poker Night at the Inventory Guide!

Poker Night at the Inventory is a single player poker game that was developed by Telltale Games November 22, 2010. The basic idea of the game is the four main characters all play Texas Hold 'Em within a secret club hidden underneath a warehouse.  The game features the following four main characters which I’m sure you’ll know at least one of them. There’s Tycho, Max, Strong Bad, and the Heavy of course. The game features a load of humorous dialogue between the characters as well!

The Binding of Isaac Review!

You may of heard of The Binding of Isaac, a depressing game on Steam or the demo on Newgrounds. The Binding of Isaac is made by Team Meat, which is also well known for creating Super Meat Boy. For $5 you'll probably find this game to be a load of fun as I know I did!

Gears of War 3 Chainsaw Tribute!

Griffon Ramsey creates a Gears of War 3 tribute by using a chainsaw and fire to carve the Gears of War logo. Also an epic cover by Martha Marin for "Heron Blue" by Sun Kil Moon plays in the background. This tribute definitely shows what you can do if you put your mind to it for sure.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim World Map!

Map of Skyrim

Say hello to the world of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim! Earlier a Russian version of the Skyrim map was posted on Elderscrolls.net, but thanks to lexmirnov.ru we have a translated version of the map now! Feel free to explore the map and see what you can gather from it, while you can only mainly make out the landscape. You'll notice there are nine major cities such as there were in Oblivion. So the map size might as well be similar to Oblivion.

So get ready guys, I know I am. If you haven't played it yet, definitely pick up Oblivion or catch up on it again even if you have to prepare. I know I must of spent at least 300 hours playing Oblivion, so I can't wait to see how much time this game will enslave me for. Whether it be exploring the vast world, fighting enormous dragons, questing, or even killing villagers for fun, I know we'll have a load of things to spend time doing. And even when you've finished playing it, you'll be able to go back and look into a few dungeons or caves you may have passed over. I must of created at least five different characters, built the character different every time, and ended up playing the game entirely different each time learning new things. And I'm sure that's how this is going to play out. So get ready for Elder Scrolls V:Skyrim coming November 11th to Xbox 360, PS3, and PC!

The End Video - Minecraft

A very short video was posted not too long ago by Notch/mojnotch of Minecraft. The video is extremely dark, probably due to the gamma I'd imagine, we wouldn't want to reveal too much of course. As you can see the floor blocks are new, maybe some sort of slime I've heard people guessing. It looks like endermen in the background, but they have whiter eyes. Could be just me, feel free to correct me. And the best part of the video is at three seconds or so where at the top left corner what looks like a dragon wing is shown. It's probably a dragon as he has revealed dragons are coming in 1.9. Also, something a bit interesting as well is that Notch tweeted this video and then moments later deleted it.

*Edit* I've just found a brightened video where you're able to see the dragon a lot more and now I'm able to confirm it is indeed a dragon. You can also see two pillars in the background.

Newgrounds Donated to my Extra Life Fund!

That's right, the creator of Newgrounds, Tom Fulp donated $50 to my Extra Life fund. You should all praise him as he's a nice person and has a good soul for doing this. I'm happy to know that there is someone out there that was willing to support me. And he was the first. Thank you Tom. Newgrounds is a great site for gaming, movies, music, art, and well some other things, lets just go with gaming and movies. Newgrounds is where I'd say flash gaming started, definitely for me. I made my account there 2005 and must say they've made a ton of upgrades from when they started considering how much I saw when I joined. It's a great place, you can definitely spend a ton of hours there jumping from game to game. You can do what I do a lot which is jump on by the audio portal and listen to music while playing other games even. And then there's the art, I mean, some people at Newgrounds are extremely talented. So head on over there and see what grabs your interest. It's a great place, run by a great guy. Thanks again Tom.
