Pid Trailer - Retro Indie Platformer

"Pid is a platform game that will turn everything you know about 2D gameplay upside down. You play as a young boy that gets stranded on an old remote planet. He must fight off a variety of malicious robots bent on stopping him and befriend unlikely allies to shed light on a huge conspiracy that keeps the planet mesmerized and prevents him from ever reaching home." - Might and Delight

Pid was announced last Tuesday, December 6th, so it's only been revealed as of recently. It's being developed by Might and Delight; a small video game studio that specializes in creating entertaining "retro-flavored" games of the highest quality. If you watch the trailer below for Pid, you'll understand what they mean by retro-flavored right away. One of the best features of the trailer is definitely the crazy amount of art that's gone into creating this game so far. Indie games these days can be a prime place to find ridiculously amazing art.  Another great feature is that it's going to provide multi-player as well so you can play cooperatively with friends or maybe competitively all depending on how you choose to play.

Pid is about a young schoolboy that becomes stranded on a remotely old planet. Having no idea where he is, he takes on a unique adventure unlike any other to try and escape. Even though he doesn't know it yet, he'll be discovering the various settings this dreamlike world has incoming for him such as castles, cities, attics, and space stations. Not to say there aren't malevolent robots trying to stop him in his way and allies of all sorts revealing to him a giant conspiracy that keeps the planet mesmerized. Will this conspiracy prevent him from ever getting home?

Pid is expected to release some time in 2012 to digital platforms.
