GameStop says The Last Guardian is... cancelled?

Update!
Regardless of pre-orders being terminated, The Last Guardian is still in production Sony has stated. Now it's just a matter of why the pre-orders are being cancelled, perhaps something in the production has changed. Further information to come. Original post below:

Bwahhh, The Last Guardian cancelled? Earlier this month there were rumors about the boss of Team Ico, Fumito Uedo leaving. Then the executive producer of The Last Guardian, Yoshifusa Hayama quit. With all that going wrong, now we have rumors that The Last Guardian is likely cancelled.

GameStop supposedly is called anyone that has pre-ordered The Last Guardian with a message stating that the vendor has cancelled the game and you can get your money back.

"This is GameStop calling with important news regarding your reservation. We've been notified by the vendor that The Last Guardian has been cancelled. To reserve a different title or have your reservation's money refunded, please go to your local store. To repeat we have been notified that the vendor has cancelled production of the game The Last Guardian. If you have any questions, call your local store." - You can hear it here.

Several companies have reached out to Sony for comment on the situation, so more news is likely to burst about it soon. So far all that is known, is that several GameStop stores are holding to the statement that it's cancelled.
