Some tips I picked up from MochiGames:
- Stack cakes close to a bomb without triggering it to score a Danger Bonus.
- Triggering an explosion next to guards startles them out of their sleep!
- A cake won't collide with bombs or power-ups until it has been dropped and touches the cake below.
- To score an Accuracy bonus, stack a cake that has the smallest base on a cake that has the smallest top.
- Drop the cakes on cake edges to earn Edge Bonuses; they will help you get a better score.
- If you think the next edge bonus will be too difficult to achieve, don't worry about it, your multiplier won't reset if you don't constantly string bonuses.
- Dropping a cake beside the stack, dropping a rotten cake on the stack, and hitting a bomb, will all make you lose your multiplier.
- Every time the player performs a bonus (Edge bonus, Danger Bonus, or Accuracy Bonus), the score multiplier increases and the next bonus will be worth more.
- By playing it safe and keeping cakes you stack centered, you increase your chances of making it higher. Remember, going higher doesn't necessarily mean getting a higher score.
- The more cakes you stack, the heavier the platter that the cook is carrying becomes!
- Pay attention to the warnings that show up at the top of the screen, they warn you about incoming bombs and power-ups!
- If a bird shows up on screen but you drop your cake before the bird has landed, you'll scare it away.
- The cook accidentally added rotten cakes to the pile of cakes, luckily they're only there in classic mode!
- Rotten cakes are bad, don't drop them on the stack! Drop them on the side or you'll lose some points. Besides, the king probably wouldn't enjoy eating them.
- When taking control of the king, each cake you eat in a row increases your multiplier until you miss one.
- If you think collecting coins for the shop takes too long, you could always buy them with mochi coins!
- Sometimes, being patient is the best way to reach your goal.
