Counter Strike Global Offensive INCOMING!

Earlier today there were rumors going around such as on ESEA or over on Kotaku among other major sites. With all the rumors going on about testers tweeting or it being suspected that Valve had a press conference confirming the release of a new Counter Strike. Well lets just say, the sequel rumors are true!

Valve confirmed Counter Strike Global Offensive and added it to Steam! CS: GO as it's being called is coming to the PS3, Xbox 360, and the lovely PC and Mac. This is definitely going to be interesting, hit up the link, there's going to be new game modes, game play, maps, and even matchmaking. So things are going to get competitive without a doubt!

It'll be playable at Pax Prime in Seattle coming up in two weeks, as well as the Eurogamer Expo in late September. The release is expected early 2012. It might not be Half Life's Episode 3, but it's definitely nice to see Valve's doing something. I'm sure it'll be a ton of fun, especially with the matchmaking aspect.

"Counter-Strike took the gaming industry by surprise when the unlikely MOD became the most played online PC action game in the world almost immediately after its release in August 1999," said Doug Lombardi at Valve
