Oppose SOPA With Us

Join us in opposing SOPA, whether you're a game developer, gaming journalist site, youtube user, company, individual, or anyone at all! SOPA, otherwise known as Stop Online Piracy Act, is a bill that's going to do much more than stop piracy, and probably not even do that. SOPA will censor the internet and take down sites that we use every day to stop copyright infringement.  Don't let SOPA take down your favorite sites and even censor your freedom. Learn more about SOPA!

PROTECT IP / SOPA Breaks The Internet from Fight for the Future on Vimeo.

You might be mad today that you can't access certain sites for whatever reason. Maybe it's Wikipedia for educational reasons, maybe it's Newgrounds for some games, perhaps Cyanide and Happiness for a comic, well they'll all be gone if SOPA passes. These websites among thousands of others are censoring their site to show the public what can happen if SOPA passes. If SOPA passes, I might as well take down my blog right away, or else I'll probably be arrested. Everyone wants the public to understand the severity of SOPA. While it's taken strong blows recently, it's not gone yet.

Read up on Wikipedia about it, if SOPA passes, Wikipedia may not exist anymore. Read about how SOPA limits our freedom on EFF. Follow the progress of SOPA. Understand SOPA in short. Head to ECA to see how you can make a difference. Contact a senator and let them know you oppose SOPA, sign a petition, protest with images, spread the word and let people know about what harm it can do.

Just in a hour or two of wondering around I came across all these groups that oppose SOPA and the thing is, there's more. I figured there's a ton of lists for supporters of SOPA, how about a list for those who oppose SOPA. Join our cause, more will be added over time.
