Recently there was a video that appeared on YouTube from Anonymous threatening Sony and various other musicians due to their support of SOPA. Although now there's been more word from Anonymous clarifying that if the attack occurs, it's going to be focused on the Sony executives. Rather than the people on the PlayStation Network this time around. Definitely a smarter move than just aggravating the community.
Our previous article about Sony standing down could of been from the threat stated by Anonymous. Regardless, people from Anonymous are less likely now for opposing Sony since they've dropped their support for SOPA. Although still even, there is a possibility of members from Anonymous releasing personal information on the Sony executives similar to past events that LulzSec did last year. Along with messing with Sony's site by putting up Anti-SOPA propaganda.
