More Info: Notch & Yogscast Dispute

My last post was much earlier before Notch began tweeting several reasons he doesn't want to work with Yogscast anymore. Reasons ranged from insulting Mojang, talking behind people's backs, and that they're "total dicks". There were several tweets, but I believe this one will stand out the most.

"A kid wanted them to sign something I had signed, and they said they'd cross it out and put "fuck you" there instead." - Notch

All the tweets Notch tweeted in the last couple hours were replied to by TotalBiscuit expressing his point against most the tweets. Even though TotalBiscuit isn't a major Minecraft fan, he's done several videos with the Yogscast team. Below is how he responded to the above tweet:

"Welcome to Yogscast humour and more to the point, British humour. The easily offended need not to apply. How old was this kid? The Yogscast demographic is quite young anyway and there is plenty of harsh language in their videos, not to mention they would hear much worse on the playground. This sounds like a joke, not a particularly good one, but a joke none-the-less and not worth getting in a tizzy over."

On Reddit I came across two posts by staff members of MineCon who stated two separate views. The one against Yogscast, the one defending Yogscast. After reading them, Notch's tweets, and TotalBiscuits response, you won't know what to believe. Fortunately, Yogscast stated when they get home from their 24 hour journey home they'll release an official statement on all of this. So we'll have to wait until then and see what they say about the subject.

  1. This has completely blown out of proportion. The way they had acted was very unprofessional and was not tolerable.
They are not welcome to another Minecon or minecraft event again.

    My comment is awaiting moderation.

  2. For the record, the person who posted that comment is most likely _not_ Notch.
